I’ve been self loving from a young age (had no idea that’s what it was called) as this was how I managed to overcome a lot of my insecurities surrounding my sickle cell. Growing with this mentality has given me so much confidence that I can sometimes come across as a little bit conceited… I even once described myself as ‘amazing’ in an interview. Lol! As usual the twitter timeline gave me an interesting topic to share.
Having been in a relationship which eventually ended due to the pressures of my sickle cell I believe that it is important for people to consider the health of your partner before getting into a relationship with them; and if it’s not for you then it’s just not for you.
