My slimness, my iddy biddies, my height, my hair and also my health. All things that at some point in my life I’ve had a complex about… How did I have a complex with all of my awesomeness?!
Some of you may have noticed I’ve been gone for longer than a minute. No posts, no Spotlight Sundays, NOTHING!
Aside from me being in my feelings for a few weeks about my laptop crashing and loosing a few interviews I did for Spotlight Sunday, there’s also the most obvious explanation which is that I’ve been unwell. Finding a balance between living life, looking after my health and all the bits that come in between can sometimes be challenging. As positive and tenacious as I am, I went through a period recently where I felt like I just could not be bothered to BE or DO.
As usual the twitter timeline gave me an interesting topic to share.
Having been in a relationship which eventually ended due to the pressures of my sickle cell I believe that it is important for people to consider the health of your partner before getting into a relationship with them; and if it’s not for you then it’s just not for you.
Please let me know your thoughts whether you have sickle cell or not, interested to hear everyones views.
Being confident is something that I believe we need to make a conscious effort to do as it may not come naturally to everyone. My confidence blossomed when I began to own my health condition and everything that came with it instead of trying to hide it. You can read about my Conscious Confidence Mechanism in my chapter of Confidence Confidential.
Please excuse my tired and quiet voice; recovering from a sickle cell crisis can do that to you. Anyway, I don’t believe I’m the only person that gets de-motivated sometimes… What do you do to pick yourself back up again and get back on track?
